Early Intervention programs (0-3) are coordinated through The Ohio Department of Health, in accordance with P.L. 108-446, Part C, Programs for Infants and Toddlers with Disabilities

Birth to Three--Includes the three programs: Welcome Home, Ohio Early Start, and Early Intervention

These programs are now consolidated into

Ohio Help Me Grow which contains resources for children and families "at risk" for developmental delays and for Children with Delays or Disabilities

The following programs are also administered through Ohio Help Me Grow:

The Bureau for Children with Medical Handicaps
Assistance for children with special health care needs and their families. 

The Bureau of Child and Family Health Services
Diagnostic services for children in the following specialties: neurology, orthopedics, plastics, vision and hearing.

The Family Information Network (FIN)
Provides information and educational support for families of young children and the professionals who serve them

Ohio Dept of Education

Early Learning Initiative Program
Early learning programs that are offered in many of Ohio’s counties

Preschool Special Education
Programs and services for children identified as having a deficit in one or more of these areas: communication, vision, hearing, motor skills, social emotional/behavioral functioning, self-help skills and/or cognitive skills

Early Childhood Education
Public school preschool programs  for 3 and 4-year-old children of income-eligible families

Office for Exceptional Children
Coordinates and administers programs to improve outcomes for students with disabilities
